Dave, Just wanted to give you a ``heads up'' that the OpenSS7 project ( http://www.openss7.org/ ) is planning on using your LiS package for implementing a STREAMS based implemenation of the SS7 (Signalling System No. 7) protocol stack on Linux (and hopefully other STREAMS platforms). We are working with 2.2 Linux kernels for now and was wondering whether the LiS 2.8 or the latest LiS 2.9beta package was the best to start with. We would like to link to the Gcom site for download of the LiS package from our site. Would that be acceptable? Once we have a working STREAMS stack, you might be interested in linking back to us as well. Also, we might have a patch or two from time to time and might be able to contribute some STREAMS documentation back into the LiS project. Any comment that you might have on our design and development directions would be welcome! -- Brian F. G.
