I plan to leave the mechanism as-is. The tar achives are labelled "LiS-2.15.x" and untar as "LiS-2.15" until the version changes to 2.16. This actually simplifies software installation scripts since you can download one of these archives and simply rename it to "LiS-2.15.tgz" for you script. It will always untar to the directory LiS-2.15 no matter what the minor version number.

Hi Dave, I realize that this won't be relevant again for a while, but would it be possible to always have three parts to the LiS version number. Instead of 2.15, have 2.15.0. It would make my scripting life easier. Thanks, Jared _______________________________________________ Linux-streams mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://gsyc.escet.urjc.es/mailman/listinfo/linux-streams
