Which Linux distribution?
What version of the kernel?
Is the kernel a "stock" kernel, or has it been modified? or compiled?
What are the error messages?

I want m2pa from openss7.org to be up. Since m2pa needs LiS package, I am trying to install it first , basically compiling it. I am doing it in Kernel mode without trying to link it with the kernel. It is not getting compiled. When i try to compile it linking with the kernel, it compiles, but gives some "unresolved symbols" at the last stage, when `depmod` is used. Please help me out of this.
