Hi Jared, I've never done any kernel development on Solaris, so I only know the Linux side here (and the Unixware, which is much less friendly than Linux, lacking the kernel source tweaking abilities, LiS-like STREAMS debugging, esp. locks tracing, and the kernel source level remote debugging.) Can you please share with the list the key differences that you feel favor Solaris kernel development environment over Linux? Maybe this could result in future Linux environment improvement.
