Thanks for the update. I am new to Linux so please bear with me.
I did "remove" the code that was causing build errors just to get something to compile (I do not care if it works yet). However, the streams.o that is generated will not load as a module on 2.6.4 (insmod fails due to file format issues). It appears that 2.6.4 requires <module>.ko files. I have just started looking at the kernel makefiles to determine what flags are needed in the LD stage to generate a .ko file. Do you know?
Thanks, Phil

I had it COMPILING, but not RUNNING, on 2.6.0 awhile back. I have gotten occupied with higher priority projects and have not gotten back to it. So, basically, LiS is not quite compatible with 2.6 yet.
Notice how, once again, in a STABLE version of the kernel, code that compiled on 2.6.0 no longer compiles on 2.6.4. They can't hold the driver/kernel interface constant for 60 days!

Is there a version of the LiS software that compiles for Linux Kernel 2.6.x? If so, what version is that? I have installed the Fedora FC2 distribution and rebuilt with the 2.6.4 version of the kernel. I have downloaded LiS 2.17.C and tried that, but it still has build errors. I am working through them, but would like to know the status of LiS with 2.6.x.
Thanks.
