Eugene,

Ok, I have Linux Fast-STREAMS passing all test cases on x86_64 SMP.
Changes to Linux Fast-STREAMS are available immediately to sponsors
of and subscribers to the OpenSS7 on the CVS archive.

If anyone needs the changes immediately, sponsorship of the OpenSS7
Project doesn't cost all that much. mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

I will now finish proper 32-bit compatibility before re-releasing
Linux Fast-STREAMS.

LiS, OTOH, fails a bunch more (10 or 12 more) test cases. Some of
these appear to the 64bit issues. Added to the other 40 or so test
case lockups previously discovered on SMP, I cannot see that LiS is
usable in a 64bit SMP environment at all. (I'm sure that it might
work fine for some very narrow applications.) Coupled with the fact
that existing BLD32OVER64 and ioctl32 conversion is fundamentally
flawed, I will likely not be updating LiS unless requested by a sponsor.

Please use Linux Fast-STREAMS in such an environment. The strcompat
package includes LiS source (and some LiS binary) compatibility for
Linux Fast-STREAMS to assist with any transition issues.
