I did not see a discussion on this, so I'll dump some information I found
online.
The stub page at the Wiki is at http://linux-sunxi.org/A80

Charbax has a recent video from Allwinner that showcases the A80,
http://armdevices.net/2014/07/18/allwinner-a80ts-solution-development-cycle/
and includes an early sample of the Cubieboard8.

There are a couple of tablets with the A80 available, such as the Neostra
Onda V989,
http://armdevices.net/2014/07/24/neostra-factory-tour-making-a80t-onda-v989-launching-a33-mass-production/
Apparently, these are available to buy.

Cubieboard8 status at
http://armdevices.net/2014/07/26/cubieboard-8-allwinner-a80-development-board/
(to be available for orders towards the end of August, cost around $100)

pcDuino8 status at
http://armdevices.net/2014/07/23/pcduino8-allwinner-a80-development-board/
(to be available for orders towards the end of August, cost around $100)

It looks like the Cubieboard8 will have more ports/features than the
pcDuino8.
The video shows that CubieTech has grown quite a lot.

Allwinner created the OptimusBoard, which is a developer board for the A80.
They are sending samples around, including to http://www.mininodes.com/

I did not find information for a developer receiving such as developer
board.
