For the record, this is required in order to have working NAND on the Ampe A76 tablet (http://linux-sunxi.org/Ampe_A76). It uses one H27UCG8T2B 20nm 8G chip.
These changes were imported from the sunxi nand driver version 0x2, 0x12, dated from 20130325. Source code for this version was found released as a tarball at: http://magnitola.org/usb-audio-dac-alsa/218672-android-zerkalo-na-allwinner-a13-3.html The Android kernel preinstalled on the device is running that same version of the sunxi nand driver. Currently, the sunxi nand driver in sunxi-3.4 is version 0x2, 0x09, which is much older, but has plenty of modifications on top, making it hard to just merge the new version. Perhaps some more bits from this new version of the driver will be needed at some point in the future.
