I just tried using the latest 3.4 kernel on my Cubieboard and I still have no issue accessing the NAND with it. The sunxi_nand driver the source for the A10 nand driver combined with the A20 nand driver to be a single driver. The A20 part doesn't work properly, but the A10 part has no issues.
