Since the tablet has a proper USB host port, the usb keyboard worked instantaneously, too. linux-sunxi also booted well, even better, since the init messages are displayed even on cold-boot, not only on reboot. Bye bye, u-boot-sunxi! I'll work next through the microSD tty stuff along this line, check HDMI and try to get mainline linux booted.
