You're right, the HDCPv1 keys did escape into the wild, in fact I have a device which uses them. I was thinking of HDCPv2's keys which haven't yet escaped. My point still stands, there's no requirement at the other end of the HDMI link to have these keys present so adding support for it is just adding unnecessary bloat to an already working driver.
