In addition, there is a pledge titled "Kernel Hackers Only" with projected delivery on Sept 2015 with 485 pledges taken already. These are for the "alpha" model of the board, so the earliest opportunity to see the R8 would be to get onto that pledge. Would the R8 SoC be finalized by that time and any changes would be for the other parts of the board.
