I'm trying to get a recent mainline kernel working on a Mele A2000
and I'm having trouble with the ethernet.
When I try to bring it up I get:
# ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.2
[ 662.944278] sun4i-emac 1c0b000.ethernet eth0: could not find the PHY
[ 662.950727] sun4i-emac 1c0b000.ethernet eth0: cannot probe MDIO bus
SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such device
#
the dmesg didn't give me much of a clue:
# dmesg|grep emac
[ 0.126491] reg-fixed-voltage emac-3v3: could not find pctldev for node
/soc@01c00000/pinctrl@01c20800/emac_power_pin@0, deferring probe
[ 3.711686] sun4i-emac 1c0b000.ethernet: using random MAC address

[ 3.832948] sun4i-emac 1c0b000.ethernet: eth0: at e090a000, IRQ 18 MAC:

[ 15.514071] sun4i-emac 1c0b000.ethernet eth0: could not find the PHY
[ 15.520589] sun4i-emac 1c0b000.ethernet eth0: cannot probe MDIO bus
#
This kernel was built based on the standard Debian .config file to which
I added all the SUNXI/SUN4I configs I could find.
Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
