The mainline kernel support doesn't have any display support at the moment. We simply re-use the framebuffer u-boot has set up to be able to display something, which means that you won't see any display related code in the kernel, but you should look at the u-boot source code to see it, and especially drivers/video/sunxi_display.c And I don't think we have composite support there.
