alternativly, with the sunxi sid driver, it can be read from sysfs, /sys/devices/platform/soc@01c00000/1c23800.eeprom

@paul, is there still a digit limitation on the cpuinfo serial? last i checked (3.4) it could only hold 16? bits.

Is there an unique device id on a20 platform and how can I read it ?
If you're using a recent U-Boot, a serial number is exported
to /proc/cpuinfo

Support for reading the serial number was added with this commit:
http://git.denx.de/?p=u-boot.git;a=commit;h=8c8165739baebbcd5fbf3db9030a3f180e4ef580

And it's passed either to ATAGs or device-tree, with these commits:
http://git.denx.de/?p=u-boot.git;a=commit;h=9f85221135745f7f20c9b00a241a8331a7f5b190
