I understand your concern and somewhat agree with you regarding the "stupid" question to ask to stick a blob to an open source, that should have never happened. It happens in the name of science. Maybe this can wake-up people. Let's get to the point, someone who knows where the 'license-issues' are should step up, be brave and fill a license complaint and hurt where it should, 'sales'! Why it takes so long (3 years)? When exactly this 'license issues' will be resolved? Why ffmpeg does not take any actions? I don't have the answers, do you?
