A new release was proposed back in September 2017[0] but I guess that effort ran out of steam. Is there still a plan/desire to cut a release? (Cc list is those who contributed to that thread).
I'm asking because I was about to upload 1.4.2 (long overdue) to Debian when I noticed that sunxi-fel cannot load newer u-boot (since around 2017.09 if my bisect[1] of the binaries on snapshot.debian.org is reliable): $ sunxi-fel -v uboot /usr/lib/u-boot/Cubietruck/u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin Stack pointers: sp_irq=0x00002000, sp=0x00005E08 Reading the MMU translation table from 0x00020000 Disabling I-cache, MMU and branch prediction... done. => Executing the SPL... done. Setting write-combine mapping for DRAM. Setting cached mapping for BROM. Writing back the MMU translation table. Enabling I-cache, MMU and branch prediction... done. This seems like a different (but perhaps related) issue to the SPL version mismatch issue mentioned in that old thread. Master works for me with the latest u-boot, so if a release is not on the cards I'll probably just package a snapshot of master (it's unchanged since Nov 2017 so it's well baked if nothing else...).
