Make sure you have the latest svgalib (1.4.3 or 1.9.12).
I think there is no such thing as a tnt2 gforce. Please check with
vgatest if those modes (11 and 12) are available, and if they display
the test pattern correctly. If it does not work, please send to me the
output of lspci -n
