Hello! I have a little(?) problem with ftape for linux. My hardware: iomega ditto 2GB and ditto dash controller. Kernel 2.0.35 The tape is running fine under normal conditions (booting from harddisk). But i want to create a boot-disk for restoring the tapes to disk, thats the problem. The ftape-modules are loading fine if i access the tape after booting from floppy-disk. If i try to access the content of the tape (for ex. with ftmt), there is an error after a while, repeating until killing ftmt: --------[ error message ]------ ftape-rw.c (ftape_start_tape) - incerased threshold because of excessive overrun errors ------------------------------- what does this mean? any solution? remember, if i boot from harddisk i have no problem with the tape... ...and the tape drive is not connected to the floppy controller! Are there any ready-for-action boot disk images with ftape modules for download? where? greetings, Alexander.
