John,
I don't know about the RPMS, but I just used the loadable
        module stuff on:

        http://www.math1.rwth-aachen.de/~heine/ftape/

Also if you are using the ditto dash card you will need some
        isapnp tools.

        I have a set on:

        http://www.BreszLand.COM/fpb/download/

There is a set of isapnp tools, along with my modules.conf
and isapnp.conf files. Feel free to grab them and utilize them.

There may be a more official place, but I can't remember where I
snarfed them from, so there they are.

Also be aware that you will need at least a P166 machine to run
the tape drive. I can't remember who noted that, but I had the
drive in a P75 and was getting constant data overruns and such.
Stuck the whole kit and kaboodle in the P233 with the exact
same kernel and configs and bingo, it all worked.

Many on this list have noted that it is better to simply compile
ftape out of the kernel and build the ftape stuff separately
and load it up, I definitely concur with this theory.

        Enjoy.
