Hi all,
I have installed ftape ver. 4.02 (kernel 2.0.35).
Now I have a problem and hope, someone can help me.
After loading the modules, lsmod show the following:

ftmt -f /dev/nqft0 reten works fine. The tapedrive start to
rewind the tape. After finishing the prompt comes back.
ftmt -f /dev/qft0 status has no effect. The computer ist still
working (CPU-capacity = 40%), the drive has no activity and the
prompt don't return. Only ctrl-C help to stop the program. If I
take out the tape from the drive and starts the command again,
I get the following message:

A test with a backup-program (kbackup) have also no effect.
What is wrong with my installation and how can I repair this ?
