I have installed and configured ftape. The newest version. Ftape-tools
work fine as well. Ftmt erases, rewinds, winds and so on. The problem is I
can't do an errorless backup. I use tar, afio or dd and everytime I get a
write error at random block. Looks like media failure. I have changed a
tape but the errors still occurs. The worst is... it works ok under Win95
:(
Any ideas? I'm fighting with it for 2 weeks now...
