Hi Chuck,

which version of ftape are you using. The actual version is
4.0x with x shifting from 2 to 3 (asymptotic). I think the
last "official" release is 4.02-pre2. Have a look at ftapes's
homepage.

My ftape-vendors.h shows a line

  { 0x08883,  80, wake_up_colorado, FT_CANT_FORMAT, "Iomega DITTO 2GB" },

this file is version

        * $Source: /usr/src/oldsrc/cvs/ftape-stacked/include/linux/ftape-vendors.h,v $
        * $Revision: 1.9 $
        * $Date: 1998/08/18 08:17:05 $

Do you need a new keyboard?

My Ditto 2G runs fine. But I had to add a ditto dash
accelerator board due to problems with my PCI m/b (Triton
based).

Good luck.
