Marshall,
The Exabyte 8200 works fine with the BusLogic/Mylex controllers. Make
sure you have examined termination (the 8200 is very dependent upon
proper termination), the quality of the SCSI cable, the cleanliness of
the drive (we clean once a week), and that you are using good media.
