I don't know or what.

The point is that ftape support certain parallel port tape drives,
i.e. the Colorado Trakker and parallel port tape drives which use
MicroSolutions "BackPack" protocol.

First: What does "I can't see to get to work" mean exactly?

Second: In case your tape drive really isn't supported yet, support
for it could probably added to ftape. For this I'd like to request you
to make an IO trace log with using a DOS tape driver program with
dosemu-0.98.4 (I don't suggest that you really should use your tape
drive with DOSEmu, just that you produce that IO trace log).

It will take some time to decode the trace log, but maybe it will be
possibly to support that tape drive in the end.
