I am consistently getting the following errors in /var/log/messages when I do an insmod ./trakker.o: trakker.c (trakker_checksum) - checksum error (off by 63) ... trakker.c (trakker_detect) - can't find trakker interface for ftape id 0. This is using the default base address and IRQ. Specifying the base address and IRQ of 0x378 and 7 respectively gives me the same thing. Trying different base addresses and IRQs generally gives me "(off by eb)" rather than "(off by 63)". I have tried defining DONT_USE_PS2 and FULL_HANDSHAKE in trakker.c, without success. The kernel version is 2.0.34. The reason I am using the prerelease is the noted problems the ftape home page gives with parallel port drives. The drive does work on my Windows95 machine. Any clues would be received with gratitude... :-)
