Well I got my Ditto Max tape drive to work (fingers crossed). I have the internal DASH Dx card. Lessons learned; 1) the value for READPORT for my computer for use in isapnp.conf was found in the systems driver section of my win95 device manager, 2) needed to get the ftape4.02-pre version of ftape 3) had to set rate max in the insmod command for ftape internal driver to 2000. 3000 just had too many errors. 4) the newer version of mt is broken, use version mt-st-0.4-5.i386.rpm I hope all will go ok from now on. Going to run some comprehensive tests over the next few days. will report back. Anyone with similar hardware can have my isapnp.conf & MCONFIG & insert files if they want. Send request. If all stays well, maybe I'll write a TODO list for newbies on isapnp & ftape installation (what I know anyway). The documention is scattered and lacks cohesion.
