Hey Now -

I have been lurking the list for a while trying to figure out my Colorado
t1000 tape drive problem, and still am getting the same error message

The system is:

older biostar MB, AMD k133, 68 Megs EDO, 10.1 Gig WD HDD, 1.44 / 1.2 mb
floppy's pluged into the tape drive extension cable (you know, the one
that plugs into the mb and the tape drive with the connector for the
floppy drive about 2 inches up...). Debian 2.1 using a 2.2.9 kernel with
NO ftape support, (tried it with 2.2.5 with ftape as M and with NO
support). I have grabbed the latesed source (the "stable" unstable ftape
and ftape-tools 1.07) and compiled/installed it, and am still getting
"operation not supported by device" errors from ftape-tool.

Now , I have NOT tried to tell it exactly what and where everything is
address wise, as I am unsure of where to find the correct information for
my system, I was hoping the defaults would work... where (in /proc ?)
would I find it, and does anyone have any pointers, I would really like to
make this work..... The unit seems to work fine under dos....
