Hi all!
First my Hardware :
Pentium 90 MHz; 32 MB; 1G HD
Ditto Dash Controller Card ISA no PnP
Iomega 2GB Streamer

Unfortunately I have to use that extra Controller , beause my floppy Controller
is too slow.
After Reading many lines of Instructions and Howtos I managed to
compile ftape4.02 on my Suse 6.0 Linux System after patching my Kernel for
using the  egcs 2.91.60.
My questions :
1)
How do I have to edit the file "MCONFIG" and "insert" to support my Hardware
(base0x360 DMA 1 INT 9)?
I used the draft from Carsten Becker from the Suse sdb for my own MCONFIG file
It's designed to use with the Ditto Max PnP Controller and I haven't change
anything except of my processor type and the hardware settings from my Dash
Controller

make and make install are succesfull done
.. insert generates following errors

router:/usr/src/ftape-4.02/modules # . insert
lspci not found, so PCI resource conflict not checked
../isapnp.conf:24 -- Fatal - Error occurred executing request 'ISOLATE ' --- further
action aborted
../ftape.o: a module named ftape already exists
../zftape.o: unresolved symbol strstr
../zft-compressor.o: unresolved symbol zft_cmpr_unregister
../zft-compressor.o: unresolved symbol zft_vmalloc_always
../zft-compressor.o: unresolved symbol zft_cmpr_register
../zft-compressor.o: unresolved symbol zft_fetch_segment
../ftape-internal.o: a module named ftape-internal already exists
router:/usr/src/ftape-4.02/modules #

2) Is it possible to read and restore tapes written with Windows95?
