It doesn't really matter, but /usr/local/src/... will keep it separate
from whatever RH has installed.

ln -s /usr/src/linux-2.0.36 /usr/src/linux

The above symlink should take care of it (assuming you have created a
.config in /usr/src/linux-2.0.36.)
