I also have the problem of "Device Not Configured"

Can you explain what you mean by your suggestions below?
I don't know how to "configure correctly"
I don't know how to determine if other modules are claiming resources.

thanks in advance.

Several things are possible...

- have you loaded (successfully) all the three modules?
- have you configured them correctly?
- is any of the resources claimed by a different module (lp for instance)

To find out,

- do a lsmod
- have a look at /etc/conf.modules
- have a look at /var/log/messages

and tell us the results...and of course what kind of drive you have
and which kernel and kind of distribution and and and...

Bye, Juergen.
