Hi Guys,
I am an absolute novice as my question will no doubt indicate. I
apologize in advance for the likely stupidity of this message. I
want to get ftape to work with my newly installed RH 6.0
distribution with a Ditto parallel port drive.

I understand that ftape 4.02 is installed with RH 6.0 (Kernel
2.5.8...I think)...So...
I want to load the modules to do this...
I attempted to modify my /etc/conf.modules file by adding the
following line
"options ftape ft_fdc_driver=trakker:bpck-fdc,none,none,none"
on boot up the load fails because it says there is no module
bpck-fdc....and lo and behold it seems to be right...There is
something called bpck.o however.

So what in a nutshell am I failing to grasp here?? I figured I
could fix the problem by deinstalling the rpm that comes with RH
6 and compiling my own however I can't seem to get it compiled.
A question for another day perhaps!

Best regards
Ed Rehberg
