Hello. I'm new to the list, so pardon me if this is a bit of a silly
question (I've check the ftape homepage and didn't find anything
decisive). I just picked up a Conner CTT8000
(http://www.seagate.com:80/support/tape/scsiide/baliflcn/ctt800es.shtml)
and I have a few questions about using it under Linux. First, ftape is
just a fancy way accessing the tape easier. If I just need to make a
backup & verify it now and again, using tar -... /dev/st0 will be fine,
and I shouldn't need to play around w/ anything else. But, if I can get
some added functionality from using the ftape stuff, that would be worth
playing with. So my first question is would this drive be supported?
(The manual mentions QIC-3080 and 3092 compliance, but not 3010 and 3020).
Thanks. (pls cc me as I'm not subscribed to the list right now...)
