You have complained to Rutgers abuse handling about spam sent to a
mailing list on vger. The spam did not originate at Rutgers. We
don't think Rutgers abuse can do much for you.
vger hosts lists for the Linux community, which is international. But
in most cases the list owners aren't Rutgers staff. We recommend
contacting the list owner. There are a number of things they could
do, ranging from moderation to setting the list so that only
subscribers can post. I believe the list owner needs to make that
decision, based on the nature of the list and the frequency of
problems. In fact the vger lists are becoming progressively more
closed for this reason. But I'd rather see you lobby the list owner
rather than us.
