Hi there,
are the Seagate "Peregrine" 4mm DAT changers supported on Linux (e.g. I
guess, that the drive is, but what about the changer mechanism)?
Also, I've recently been working with a HP DAT autoloader on Linux and
would like to know how automatic cleaning can be done. If I do "mtx load
<slot-with-cleaning-tape>" it will cause the drive to get into an
endless loop of loading the cleaning tape, cleaning the drive, unloading
it, loading, cleaning, unloading, loading...
If I make the drive load the cartridge manually (select the slot and
load the cartridge via external controls), then the drive loads the
cleaning tape, cleans the drive unloads it, changes to the next slot and
loads the drive in there...
