I have a segate tapestore 3200 (tr3) running redhat 6. I have installed
ftape and bru. I can do a backup if I don't mind listnening to the
thing tape for 5 seconds and then rewind for 5 seconds. (Not sure how
it is actually making any progress but it does :^) ) Actually takes
longer to do a backup that time allowed between recomended head
cleanings.
I thought I might try and format the tape since it was originally used
under w95. Ftape-tool reports "Unknown format API version. Giving
up." I cannot even use the force command.
Status check seems to be ok. It recognizes the correct device. Conner
