Hi all.

I have a SCSI tape Backup (a Tandberg TDC4200) connected to a DTC
controller. I want to backup my whole network using this drive. My
problems are:

1. This thing is a lot slower than I think it should be. using dump or
tar, I only get about 75Kbps.

2. The system slows WAY down. It only runs about 50% cpu usage, but is
very unresponsive. I don't think it should be like this.

3. I can't get a reliable backup. I think I need to get the correct
command line params for Dump, but haven't been able to find the specs for a
DT4000 tape.

I want to blame #1 and #2 on some sort of interrupt or DMA problem, but I
am at a loss to figure it out.
If anyone can help, please do so.
