I just upgraded from Red Hat 6.0 (kernel 2.2.5) to 6.1 (kernel 2.2.12) and
my ftape 4.x-1999_09_11 modules all refuse to load because of the kernel
change. After trying to recompile, I get this error:

make[2]: Entering directory
`/usr/local/src/ftape-4.x-1999_09_11/ftape/setup'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target
`/usr/src/linux/include/linux/modules/b1capi.ver', needed by
`.ftape-setup.d'. Stop.

Putting some gibberish in for b1capi.ver results in a similar error for a
subsequent file, and so on and so forth. What are these files, and how
can I get around this error? I'm using the same MCONFIG, with the same
hardware configuration (Iomega Ditto 2GB internal/floppy) that I had with
the previous kernel.

I would appreciate your help.

Thanks,
