Kurt -- Thanks for the tip. I guess the version of ftape I had has a known
problem with 2.2 kernels. I was able t successfully compile the modules at the
linuxtapecert.org site you pointed me to. These modules have loaded.
Now I have (hopefully) one more question. What device is related to the Ditto
drive on the parallel port (lpt1)?
