I also have an Aiwa (now Sony, I believe) Td-20001 which works
exceedingly well. But not under ftape: as you say, it is an SCSI drive.
You just use mt-st. Nothing else required, although there are many tape
facilities available if you need them. ftape is for floppy tape drives
and close relatives.
