hi,

when i try to format a floppy tape QIC-80 ftformat fails after
finishing format all tracks (last message) with 

"Error re-opening tape dev read/write: Device or resource busy"

last syslog message: "zftape-init.c (zft_open) - failed: already busy."

i use: 
- linux 2.3.99-pre6 -- the problem occurs at least since 2.3.38
- ftape-tools 1.07.1999.03.17

read/write of a well formatted tape works.

knows any one about that?

on the other hand: ftape reports "Warning: Write protected cartridge!"
for a tape that is definitly _not_ write protected :(
