hi !
i have a problem with two customers who have seagate dat-tapes.
they�re running under suse 6.3 and seagtae say�s there ok to work under this
conditions.
they do a nightly backup through afio on the device st0, just a backup of a
whole directory/mount...
works fine...
but after two or three weeks they get a error:
Device not configured
and it�s like that... i cna�t access the st0 any more, even the nst0 doesn�t
work...
if i have al look in the /proc/scsi.... everything looks fine
sometimes i get a error in /var/log/messages taht�s say�s that there�s a
reset problem with the device...
the first customers tape was just send to seagate
a few days after that it happend with the second customer (both have
different controller)
with put the tape on a windows98 machine and it work fine...
ughh ?!?
any idea what�s happening ?
