HP Colorado 8GB information

Hi,

I've just removed my Iomega Ditto Max and replaced it with a
Colorado 8GB Internal IDE drive.

I only had to add: alias char-major-37 ide-tape to conf.modules
and everything sprang into life.

Can anyone assist with answers to the following:

1) What is the tape blocksize?

2) Can the user format tapes under Linux? and if so, how?
