Actually, the bug was even worse, but only with cartridges with more
than 2^16 segments. Ordinary TR-3 catridges were not affected.

Using cartridges with more thatn 2^16 segments (i.e. with more thatn
2gig, roughly) together with pre-4.04 versions of ftape will
definitely cause data-loss when mixing Linux and Windows.

The bug was fixed in 4.04, not 4.04a. 4.04a fixes a bug in the
/proc/ftape/ interface with 2.0.x kernels.
