Effectively, it seems to be a bug with mlt like the file is not weel played with melt. And why convert your files before. I have an Android Smartphone which produce some video in format .3gp and H264 and I have none problems with on Openshot . The fact to convert before can produce an de-synchronisation between audio and video (a light) and mlt can not modified it like ffplay do it.
