Sorry for not responding sooner, but can you see if this still persists
in the current development release (Mythbuntu precise, MythTV 0.25). If
so, we can try to see what we can do to fix it there, but we won't be
fixing things like this in the current releases.

Auto Logon Not Working
Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
Incomplete
Bug description:
After installing Mythbuntu, where I had selected the auto logon as the
boot option. The logon screen incorrectly comes up where I have to log
on, instead of it proceeding directly to the fronted. Auto logon must
be failing.
