Title:
Google Chrome cannot display Hindi fonts
Status in Chromium Browser:
Unknown
Status in “chromium-browser” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
The xml given on this page
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Fonts
by Obi Bok
if it is put in ~/.fonts.conf file , then hindi and many other languages are
not displayed in google chrome browser.
Square and boxes appear instead.
Checked it on Ubuntu 9.10 - 11.04 and all versions of Google Chrome.
If that xml is removed , then google chrome shows hindi fonts fine.
