I'd also like this feature. Now that Youtube's parent, Google, can do two-step authentication (i.e. SMS with code) without the a 'remember me' capability the built-in 'video upload' function is useless if you have two-step auth turned on. With the ability to remember the user, you would be able get around the sms issue using the permanent passwords options that google offers 2-step auth users.
