I have a Linux/alpha system running 2.2.18, and a LInux/ix86 system
also with 2.2.18. The Linux/ix86 system supports the ohci-usb boards
I have just fine. I tried them in my alpha, and I get in my logs
messages like:
Mar 5 13:33:41 icarus kernel: usb.c: USB new device connect, assigned device number 2
Mar 5 13:33:41 icarus kernel: hub.c: USB hub found
Mar 5 13:33:41 icarus kernel: hub.c: 5 ports detected
Mar 5 13:33:42 icarus kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Mar 5 13:33:42 icarus kernel: usb-ohci.c: unlink URB timeout!
Mar 5 13:33:42 icarus kernel: hub.c: get_port_status(4) failed (err = -60)
Mar 5 13:33:43 icarus kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Mar 5 13:33:44 icarus kernel: usb-ohci.c: unlink URB timeout!
Mar 5 13:33:44 icarus kernel: hub.c: get_port_status failed
Mar 5 13:33:45 icarus kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Mar 5 13:33:45 icarus kernel: usb-ohci.c: unlink URB timeout!
Mar 5 13:33:45 icarus kernel: hub.c: get_hub_status failed
Mar 5 13:46:18 icarus syslogd 1.3-3: restart.
After this, The system locks up. I was in X at the time, so I missed
any messages to the screen. I'd be willing to run more tests, but my
first question is: does anybody have USB working on Linux/alpha 2.2.18?
