[1.] One line summary of the problem:
Digital Wallet problems with latest version of storage drivers.
[2.] Full description of the problem/report:
I'm trying to get a Minds@Work Digital Wallet to work with
my Linux machine, and am having limited success. With recent kernel
versions and the latest (CVS) versions of usb-storage, I get as far
as having the device recognized, but when I try to mount the
device, it resets the device. After the reset, the device is
reconnected and assigned another SCSI device. Trying to mount
this device doesn't work, either.
Occasionally, the problem (another problem?) appears as
an endless series of "usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=xx",
but with more recent kernel versions, this only happens once or twice,
then the device is recognized.
I'm using usb-uhci, and it does not appear that interrupts
are being delivered to the driver every second.
I have a _lot_ of debug information from the kernel, if
anyone's interested.
